The Auto-Update process runs on a macOS devices under a few circumstances:
- When called via an Auto-Update policy from Jamf Pro (including Self Service policies)
- On a randomised hourly schedule (only proceeding if items are awaiting processing)
- At the login window (if any items are pending)
- Triggered manually, via the Auto-Update.app
