When does Auto-Update run on macOS?
The Auto-Update process runs on a macOS devices under the following circumstances:
- When called via an Auto-Update policy from Jamf Pro, including Self Service policies
- On a randomised hourly schedule (only proceeding if items are awaiting processing)
- At the login window (if any items are pending)
- Triggered manually via the Auto-Update app
Regardless of how an Auto-Update run is triggered, these events are logged.

When are titles updated within Auto-Update?
With the exception of the Adobe and macOS titles, all other titles are updated automatically once a week on a weekday on a randomised schedule. (Meaning a title might be checked for an update on a Monday one week, and Wednesday the following).
If an update is needed outside of this schedule, please raise a ticket with our support team.
