New Features and Enhancements
- Definitions - has a new URL: definitions.datajar.mobi/v2/. Please update this within your Jamf Pro instance. Please see this article for more information on Definitions.
- CDN - the Jamf Auto Update CDN has been migrated to AWS with Jamf Auto Update 1.3, allowing for faster downloads globally.
- Customisations - Jamf Auto Update 1.3+ has a number of configuration options available, including rebranding, and setting notification frequency, type, text, and whether to show a notification at all.
- Network Awareness - By default, Auto-Update 1.3+ will not run if the Mac is connected to a Wifi network with Low Data Mode enabled or when connected to a hotspot/tethering. This is overridable via Auto-Updates customisation options.
- New Logging Behaviour - Auto-Update's logging behaviour has been amended, to make the logs content more useful than before.
- Automatic title removal from manifest: If a title cannot be installed, or cannot be found. It is now automatically removed from Jamf Auto Update’s manifest and no longer requires manual removal.
- Swift binary: The logic that was once included within Jamf Auto Update's preflight, postflight and policy scripts are now included within the Jamf Auto Update's new swift binary.
